It's a sickness, really...

I've lived in Provo for 7 years and 3 months, almost to the day. I've realized, I have a sickness. It's called movingitis. My mom has my contact info penciled (not penned) into her dayplanner so she can easily update my info (which, honestly, is about every 4 months.) My siblings were relieved when I finally got a cell phone because they couldn't keep track of all my new home phone numbers. I'm just now starting to get the hang of updating my mailing address with the DMV. (I have found out the hard way that Law Enforcement doesn't take it lightly when you don't update your address within 10 days of moving. I bet it made it pretty hard to track me down when I had that warrant out for my arrest...yeah, another story for another time...)

I get so antsy in one location, I just keep moving! in 7 years and 3 months, I have lived in 12 different apartments and had 31 roommates. This December when I move...yet again...it'll make it the #13th apartment and 34 roommates. Now, some may say that #13 is unlucky. However, I have high hopes for this 13th apartment (townhome), considering everywhere else I've lived hasn't done much for me. Wish me luck. I think I need it.

Thanksgiving at the Pitta's

So my memories of Thanksgiving usually included a crazy amount of family, food, and fights (usually food fights...ah, yes, the year we had to eat in the garage...). This year, was definitely the opposite. I opted to stay in Utah instead of going home to CA (I wasn't about to miss the BYU/UofU game).
I went to my brother's in laws, the Pitta's, for dinner. The event went something like this.

-watch True Blue (highlights of the BYU/Wyoming game)
-watch USA barely win again Japanese in the Football game. (how pathetic is that? i mean, we almost lost to japan in FOOTBALL?!?!? What is this world coming to?)
-watch the Cowboys football game.
-watch True Blue...again (just in case we missed Brandon's 3 second debut on TV)
-watch Denny devour a massively large drumstick that was dripped in dressing during dinner.
-watch True Blue ...AGAIN (some of Denny's friends came over for dessert)

yeah...that's about it. Somewhere in the middle there were a couple of Office quotes...that's when I really felt comfortable. Leave it to Michael Scott to make one truly feel at home on Thanksgiving.

I LOVE BYU FOOTBALL!!!

Halloween

I was Miss Belle for Halloween. My room mom, Elizabeth, dressed up as Cinderella.
She's the best room mom ever!

I'm mentoring a BYU intern this year, Rachel Zani. Here we our with one of our students, Octumus Prime. :) Our students LOVED dressing up in their costumes!

My adorable nieces

(Becca stole all the hair. Poor Brooklyn)

Me and Brooklyn

Mexican Riviera Cruise

Mom and I went on the Carnival Pride cruise ship in October to the Mexican Riviera. It was my first cruise and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone! All you can eat food and plenty of sun and relaxation. I am definitely hooked!

Our Balcony

When mom and I booked the cruise, we requested an indoor room (no windows, no balcony...hey, it was the cheapest!) Our first night on the ship, we got a call from the Purser's Desk asking us if we'd be willing to switch rooms, as they needed to use our room for some other guests. We were excited when they upgraded us to a room with a balcony...for free! We spent hours on the balcony talking and reading. It was our favorite place on the ship (with the exception of the 24 hour pizzeria).

Captain's Dinner

What girl doesn't like to dress up?

Cabo San Lucas

Snorkeling in Cabo. Notice how gorgeous the blue water is!

Mazatlan

Sea kayaking on Deer Island in Mazatlan.

Puerto Vallarta

Open Air Bus (fancy way of saying seats attached to a back of a pickup truck.)

There was a gorgeous pool of water at the bottom of the canopy tour. Very refreshing.
It was SO humid and hot! (You can see our sweat! Ew!)

Can yo see the person zip lining through the jungle? That's what we did! Up to 55 miles an hour. Yup, that's right...I'm adventurous.
Cool sand sculpture. I even tipped the guy 2 pesos to show how much I appreciated it.
Yes, I am cheap.
Part of our canopy tour was to stop at a tequila factory. We learned how to make tequila.
Very, um, informative...

Disney World

In July, I spent a long weekend in Orlando with my two best friends, Anndalyn and Bethany. It was the first time we'd been together since Andy's wedding. So fun!
Me, Anndalyn, and Bethany in front of the Tree of Life.
Anndalyn and I got caught in a crazy rain storm. We were soaking wet, but it didn't stop us from splashing in puddles and riding the rides. What can I say? Disney World forces you to face your inner child.

Breakfast with the Disney Princesses

Bethany surprised Andy and I with an exclusive breakfast with the Disney Princesses at EPCOT. We wore our tiaras all day long.
*Mary Poppins may not be a princess, but she still rocks in my book.

Matt 'n Mari's Wedding

My sisters and I with Grandpa Bell in front of the Newport Beach Temple.
Have you ever seen such a well decorated cultural hall?!? Yeah, me either...
Welcome to the family, Mari! (I'm so glad Matt chose to marry a tall girl. She fits right in. :) )

It's about time...

Well, I too have decided to join on the band wagon and create my own blog. Here's some highlights of my life over the past few months.
